School-Based Health Awareness Month

April is School Based Health Awareness Month and Minnie Hamilton Health System would like to thank the employees of our local School-Based Health Centers who work hard to keep the children of our community healthy and ready to learn.
Minnie Hamilton Health System sponsors School-Based Health Centers (SBHC) at four sites, including Calhoun Middle/High School, Arnoldsburg School, Pleasant Hill School and Gilmer County High School.
There is no out of pocket charge for services performed at the four sites.
To be served at the SBHC, a student must be enrolled and have a signed parental consent form.
Services offered through the SBHC are provided by a Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Medical Assistant. All information is confidential.
The SBHC provides health care for illnesses, physical exams and sports physicals, a small selection of medically-prescribed lab tests, vision and hearing screens, health education and prevention, dental care referrals and mental health referrals.
To take advantage of this free service contact your child’s school for an enrollment form.
