The Huffington Post: “The Pride of West Virginia” in Top 10

“The Pride of West Virginia” is in good company on The Huffington Post’s list of Best College Marching Bands for 2011-2012.

West Virginia University’s Mountaineer Marching Band is one of ten marching bands recognized for excellence.

The Huffington Post says the bands “always impress, always excite, and always showcase their full talent.“

In addition to the Mountaineer Marching Band, the other school bands on the list are as follows:

•  University of Texas Longhorn Band

•  University of Southern California Trojan Marching Band

•  Louisiana State University, “The Golden Band of Tigerland”

•  Texas A&M, “The Fighting Aggies”

•  Ohio State University

•  University of Michigan

•  Florida A&M

•  University of Tennessee, Knoxville

•  University of Notre Dame
