Photo Contest during Jackson’s Mill Jubilee

The Stonewall Jackson Photo Club, in cooperation with the Jackson’s Mill Jubilee, will sponsor a juried photography contest during the 2010 Jackson’s Mill Jubilee.

Awards will be made in six categories which include: West Virginia Heritage, People, West Virginia Natural Wonders, Monochrome, Color and Student.

Prizes will be awarded for the Best of Show and for first, second and third place in each category.

Rules for the contest and an application form may be obtained from the Stonewall Jackson Photo Club website at www.sjphotoclub.org.

Applications may also be obtained at CVS Pharmacy in Weston and Buckhannon, Artworks in Bridgeport, Sam Santilli Photography in Philippi, Foto 1 in Elkins, Superior Photo in Morgantown and the Lewis County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Deadline for entering the contest is August 13, 2010.

A reception for exhibitors will be at the Southeast Learning Center, Jackson’s Mill, on September 02, 2010 at 7:00 PM.

Winners will be recognized during the reception. Amateur photographers of all ages are encouraged to enter their work.

The photography show will be an exhibit at the Jackson’s Mill Jubilee on:

•  September 03, 2010 - Friday from Noon to 8:00 PM

•  September 04, 2010 - Saturday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

•  September 05, 2010 – Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
