G-otcha™:Massachusetts Woman Charged With Traveling to WV to Have Sex with a Minor in Linn, WV
A woman from Massachusetts has been indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly traveling to West Virginia to have sex with a minor, according to United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II.
CARISSA HADS, age 25, of Quincy, Massachusetts (both pictures), was named in a one count indictment this week charging her with “Traveling in Interstate Commerce with the Intent to Engage in Illicit Sexual Conduct.”
The indictment charges that on February 23, 2012, HADS traveled from Massachusetts to North Central West Virginia to have sex with a minor.
Court documents indicate that HADS posed as an 18-year old man on a social media website and also took steps to change her appearance in order to deceive the victim as to her true identity.
HADS met the alleged victim online in 2010 and the two communicated for over a year before the first in-person meeting took place.
HADS traveled at least three times from Massachusetts to visit the alleged victim, and was arrested at the Pittsburgh International Airport by F.B.I. agents on May 25, 2012 on one of her visits to the area.
A federal magistrate judge has ordered that HADS be detained pending trial after finding that she is danger to the community as well as a flight risk.
If convicted, HADS faces up to 30 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.
Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offense and the criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
HADS is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
“The West Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force is to be commended in how it conducted this investigation,” said Ihlenfeld. “After the tip was received immediate steps were taken to ensure the safety of the victim and to make sure that the suspect was held accountable.”
The case will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn A. Morgan, Chief of the Criminal Division for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Okay, so again. They post something else about Miss. Carissa Hads. I don’t understand really. because everything that’s happened here is just a love relationship. and that little threat or whatever. a.l knew about that so not like noone knew about it. 2. Really? i’ve seen so many cases like this where noone gets anything outta it. Imma tell ya’ll something before putting a girl in prison for 30 years , remember something. She isn’t guilty. A.l and her mother is for knowing that she was a female and lieing to THE STATE ABOUT IT!!! That’s federal offense and you can go to FEDERAL PRISON!!!! NOW DON’T LIE. BE A BIG CHRISTIAN WOMAN YOU ARE AND STAND UP FOR WHATS RIGHT AND THAT’S TELLING THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t not tell the truth because you don’t want everyone knowing your daughter likes girls!!!
Twenty-four-year-old Carissa Hads is facing federal charges after being accused of tricking a teenage girl into sex while disguised as a 17-year-old boy. The 15-year-old girl in question isn’t being named, but the details of this story seem rather shady nonetheless. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force released an affidavit accusing the 24-year-old woman of using an “unnamed social networking site” to lure the 15-year-old into a relationship that developed into something of a criminal thing.
Carissa Hads maintained two social networking profiles—one as 17-year-old James Puryear Wilson, and the other as herself—which she referred to as James’ aunt. The unnamed 15-year-old “victim” claims that the “boy” bought her two cellular phones and paid her phone bills. “He” also bought her a brand new Kindle Fire.
The strange part of this story is that the mother of the so-called victim willingly arranged meetings between her daughter and what she thought was a teenage single father by renting hotel rooms for them while staying there with other teen girls. During the the hotel room visits, Carissa and the teenage girl reportedly had illicit sexual contact that involved prosthetic genitalia and fingers. She even claims to have seen the device Carissa had worn to use as a pen**.
So does this sound fishy? Judging from the images of Carissa, it doesn’t seem reasonable that a young girl as well as her adult mother would be fooled. The images here are obviously of a female, albeit a tomboy. So what gives? This just does not seem like a cut-and-dry story of sex abuse by an adult, but it does seem like the mother, teen and Carissa Hads had more of a relationship than what’s being said<
The mother and the minor both knew she was a female and that she was 24 at the time. and everything about her. it was everybody else that thought she was a guy because the mother and daughter are such big chrsitians big momma couldnt live up to the fact people would find out her daughter liked girls if she doesnt get up on stand and lie… I HOPE A.L AND HER MOTHER REALIZE THEY GET UP STAND AND LIE THERE LIEING UNDER OTH AND THATs FEDERAL OFFENCE THERE!!!!! CHOOSE YOUR ACTIONS WISELY MOMMA BEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
