Ola Lee Ables

Age 89, Lifelong resident of Weston, WV, died Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Nella’s in Elkins, WV, following an extended illness.

He was born November 24, 1922 in Weston, a son of the late Perry Ables and Mary O. Riddle Ables.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Ables and Sam Ables; and four sisters, Opal Childers, Dulcie Mason, Dolly Ables and Myrtle Ables.

He is survived by one daughter, Patty Suttle of Weston; one granddaughter, Tiffany Suttle of Weston; one step-son, Kenny Burkhammer of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Elmer Ables of Weston; and one sister, Alma Turner of Hinton, WV.

Ola was a veteran, having served in the United States Army during WWII.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.

He enjoyed spending time in his garden and harvesting his crops.

He was Methodist by faith.

Friends called from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at Boyle Funeral Home, 322 Main Avenue, Weston, WV.

Funeral Services were held at 1:00 PM. Thursday, February 16, 2012 at the Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Riddle officiating.

Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Weston, WV.
