Mary Jean Keller
born September 25, 1926 in Braxton County, WV, died on May 16, 2012 at Nicholas County Health and Rehab Center in Richwood.
She was a retired nurse, she graduated from Kanawha Valley Nursing School, Charleston, WV and worked as an operating room nurse for two renowned cardiac surgeons, Adrian Kantrowitz, who performed the first pediatric heart transplant in Brooklyn, NY and Leonard Bailey in Loma Linda, CA, she retired in San Bernardino, CA.
She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, Harry Keller.
She is survived by three sisters, Hope Ballengee of Duck, WV and Evelyn Schiavone of Berlin, MD and Betty Starr; two nieces, Mary Anne Daly of Mill Valley, CA and Sharon Lynch of Manassas Park, VA; one nephew, Mark Schiavone of Harpers Ferry, WV.
Services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 19 at Richard M. Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway with Rev. Johnny Conrad officiating.
Interment was in the Jack Point Cemetery, Servia, WV.
Friends called one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
