June Beatrice Skinner
Age 94, of 222 Old Route 33 Weston passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at her home following an extended illness.
She was born in Sutton on December 19, 1917: daughter of the late Newman Leavitt and Dora (Tucker) Leavitt.
On September 20, 1933, she married Lane Skinner, who preceded her in death on May 29, 2000.
Mrs. Skinner is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lane, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Skinner was a foster mother with the West Virginia Department of Human Resources. Earlier she was an employee of US Steel, American Hammer Piston Ring Companies and had served as secretary for Judge Sherbo all in Maryland.
June was a member of the Tabernacle of Light Church of Weston.
Family and friends will be received at Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home 730 N. Main Avenue Weston on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM from the Hardman-Paletti Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Clifford West officiating.
Interment will follow services in the Peterson Cemetery of Weston, WV.
