Delegates Brent Boggs and David Walker with GSC President Peter Barr and GSC Representatives
“It was a pleasure to visit with President Peter Barr and representatives of Glenville State College last week at the Capitol,” Delegate Boggs stated. “I enjoyed having the opportunity to talk with some of the Hidden Promise Scholars and am pleased that GSC took the opportunity to again showcase this program at Higher Education Day at the Capitol.”
Glenville State College started the Hidden Promise Consortium in 2007 and continues to improve and expand the program each year.
GSC partners with 20 school districts across the state to target and mentor first generation low to moderate income students, students who would be the first in their family to attend college and students that may not have their hopes set on college to encourage them to pursue higher education.
