FEMA Delivering Water, Generators across West Virginia

The Federal Emergency Management Agency is delivering water to communities across West Virginia as people cope with another hot day and no power.
State emergency management spokesman Terrance Lively says crews are also trying Monday to supply generators to nursing homes, hospitals, water and sewage plants, and other critical facilities.
More than 450,000 people remain without power, but Lively says those numbers are slowly falling.
Meantime, about 50 cooling stations and 20 shelters are open across the state.
Police and the National Guard are doing welfare checks on the elderly. Lively urges the public to do the same because older people are among the most vulnerable.
A heat advisory is in effect from Noon to 7:00 PM for most of central and western West Virginia, and the southern coalfields.
