Word choices are interesting. If you put something on a ballot that says choice, it sounds pretty good,but if you put something on a ballot that says killing babies it sounds awful.
The people that Mr. Reich refers to as regressives, most people refer to as conservatives.
The progressives feel that they are being kind to poor people by giving government handouts, but seventy years of government handouts has created a permanent poor class in inner cities and Appalachia.
I personally know of children locally who are fourth generation recipients. If all people do is wait for government assistance each month, it is no wonder they turn into gang bangers and pillbillies.
Teach a man to fish, and he can feed himself for life.
Teach a man to beg, and he will vote the democratic ticket.
I urge young people to research (I mean real research, not just Facebook and The Daily Show) both sides of these issues, and make up their own minds about these things.
