OddlyEnough™: Manchin, Tomblin, Rahall to Skip Democrats National Convention

       

A trio of West Virginia Democrats will not attend the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC to formally re-nominate President Obama this summer.

Senator Joe Manchin , Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, and Congressman Nick Rahall do not plan to attend the convention, according to state party chairman Larry Puccio, who released the state’s convention delegation list yesterday in accordance with party rules.

West Virginia’s senior senator, Jay Rockefeller, will attend the state party.

Is it because in West Virginia, on May 08, 2012 presidential primary a federal inmate won over 40% of the vote against Obama?

Manchin in particular has sought distance from the president.

In April, Manchin said he was not committed to supporting Obama’s re-election.

“I intend to spend this fall focused on the people of West Virginia, whether that’s representing them in my official U.S. Senate duties or here at home, where I can hear about their concerns and ideas to solve the problems of this great nation,“ Manchin said in a statement regarding his decision to skip the convention. “I will remain focused on bringing people together for the next generation, not the next election.“

Rahall’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Joe asked us, ‘please vote for me for four more years to be your governor.  Myself and a lot of you voted for Joe.

We elected Joe to be our voice.  Alone comes the presidential election and we West Virginians voted overwhelmingly for Hillary Clinton.  Yes. Overwhelmingly for her.  What does Joe do?  He gives “his” superdelagate vote to Obama!  He did not carry the wishes of those who put him in office.  Felt like I(we) got stabbed in the back.

Then Joe says, I wanna be a senator.  Quits us all, after telling us he would be governor four more years.  Causes an additional 18 million dollars in election costs for taxpayers.

One word.  NoMoJoe.

Are you guys mice or men ? Please squeak up.

GC Smokey: I like your comment. For me it will be a NoMoJoe and NoMOEarl. I’m done with both. They will not do anything about this mess our county is in because they are involved in, are paid friends of, and are under the elites control. I will not give them my vote this election or ever again. I hope they both get defeated. The opponents cannot do any worse to our county than what has already been done, and they need to campaign hard and heavy to defeat them. If I lose two votes this election, it will not be to them. What a pitiful political, back scratching, butt kissing mess this county is in for their own personal gain and control, not.
