Hayden Eugene “Gene” Perkey
Age 79, of Sykesville, MD, formerly of Weston, WV, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at Seasons Hospice at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown, MD.
Born Septenber 28, 1932, in Kinchelo, he was the son of the late Hayden D. and Alma L. Francis Perkey.
He was the husband of the late Marlene Perkey.
He was a 1950 graduate of Weston High School. He retired from Baltimore Gas and Electric after 35 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are sons and daughters.in.law Kevin Eugene and Janet Perkey, of Elkton, MD and Douglas Eric and Kathy Perkey of Mount Pleasant, SC; stepdaughters Nancy Revella and Diana Derenberger, both of NC, and Jeanne Brown, of Owings Mills, MD; a brother, Corde; sisters and brothers.in.law Joan and George Duffy, of Ellicott City, MD and Janice and Charlie Gum, of Summersville; grandchildren Rachael, Kyle and Renee Perkey; and former spouse, Margaret Jean Graham, of Myrtle Beach, SC.
He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Hayden Perkey; and siblings Arnold Love, Ralph Perkey, Marion Daniel Perkey, Clarence Perkey and Lucille Campbell.
Friends called Monday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, Sykesville, MD.
Interment followed at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.
