With discipline, know-how and determination we can take new prospects and make them a reality.”

“The governor has encouraged us to get the message out to our communities about the programs and resources available to them to generate economic activity,” said Commerce Secretary Keith Burdette. “If your work relates to economic development, you will want to attend this workshop. It is an opportunity to talk about how we can work together to achieve our shared goals even more effectively.”

Maybe the Governor will swing thru Gilmer County and meet with the Gilmer School Coalition and Dr Simmons too?

To Let The Sun Shine:
I am so sorry to disappoint you but I don’t figure the Gov. will have time to swing thru here April 18th and meet with the School Coalition and Dr. Simmons. However, maybe he will attend the reception in honor of Senator Joe Manchin, candidate for reelection to U.S. Senate. The Gov. and Mr. and Mrs. Manchin are very close and dear friends of Mr. and Mrs. I.L. Morris which is having this gala event on Friday April 20, 2012. The invitation to attend is in the April 12, 2012 edition of the Glenville Democrat/Pathfinder with all needed information to RSVP in case you are interested in going to honor your candidate. I’m sure “all the elites” will have many detailed conversations about Gilmer County. If you cannot attend, do not worry, there will be plenty of pictures in next week’s Democrat/Pathfinder.

Look what Ike’s last money bundle operation got us. Within days after the money was given to Senator Manchin our school system was taken over by the State and Gayle gave her infamous rant against the County. It works this way. Ike summons those indebted to him to report to his palace with their check books. When all the money pours in, Ike gets full credit to make the WV politicians dance to his tune including getting their favors to help increase his empire. That is how the land of Gil operates. It is all about money being routed to politicians. We can counteract by making our own voting decisions and not falling for what the power brokers tell us to do, and we can expand our use of the Internet to inform West Virginians what the politicians did to our County.

I was thinking when I saw that invitation…..
What if concerned Gilmer Countians made some signs and organized at the mouth of the hollow across from the Morris manchin. Maybe we could cry out for help from the Senator, the Gov. and the Morrises. Maybe they will help us. Afterall, they could donate some money to renovate our schools, we could even change the names of the schools to honor them.
Or maybe we could just let them know how much we despise them pushing us around. Is anyone with me?
