G-LtE™: Removing 10 Commandment

The Gilmer Free Press

Seen on the news this morning that another non-believing individual is now demanding the removal of the Ten Commandments from the public grounds of a ZOO.

A ZOO???

Maybe it is offending the animals for the Ten Commandments to be on their territorial ground. My advice to that person, don’t read the Ten Commandments and/or don’t go to the zoo or any other place that has the Ten Commandments if it offends you. Easy solution.

Why do the atheists think we should remove all of our religious beliefs just because they do not believe in God?

It is on PUBLIC LAND. Public is for everyone, believers and non-believers. We are allowing the select few minority in this country to rule us all. God fearing Christians we need to stand up and be counted. I don’t infringe on their rights to not believe, and I expect the same respect. If they want to put a sign up as a non-believer beside the Ten Commandments, I say go for it and let them put their beliefs up too. Just because they are there, does not mean I HAVE to read them.

Freedom of choice.

A individual can make up their own mind and read which one or both if they so choose.

THIS IS AMERICA…LAND OF THE FREE AND HOME OF THE BRAVE. To let them remove everything that pertains to GOD IS WRONG.

Our President, Our County, State, Country and Nation needs to get some backbone and stand up and say enough is enough. If you do not believe in God that is your problem, your loss and your choice but don’t try to take my rights to believe in the Almighty God and Creator away from me. We let one woman remove God from our schools, now they want to completely remove him.

I pray the President would stand firm on this and say “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and put God back into the places that they have already allowed him to be removed. CHRISTIANS STAND UP…. STAND OUT…. AND BE COUNTED.

“The Anti-Defamation League believes that the increasing call by private citizens and public officials for the government to post the Ten Commandments in schools, government buildings, courts and other public places — while often well-intentioned — is bad policy and often unconstitutional. Governmental posting of the Ten Commandments can lead to the kind of religious divisions within otherwise harmonious communities that our founding fathers sought to avoid by constitutionally mandating the separation of church and state. Before embracing this easy fix for some of society’s most intractable problems, communities should consider its consequences for one of America’s most precious traditions: religious tolerance.“

IN GOD WE TRUST. AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL,,,GOD SHED HIS GRACE ON THEE This is why I see no problem with the 10 Commandments in public buildings.  It recognizes the core values surrounding the very origin of this nation.  I have no difficulty with religious choice but to remove this is turning our backs on a proud heritage.

No doubt in our minds that the Ten Commandments were a large part of what made America a great country.

The founding fathers created a country with religious freedom.

For many, many years, church services were held in the Capitol Rotunda.

The movement by a few today, is to destroy Christianity, driven by athiests, agnostics, and those who think that “their” religion is the “only” religion.

The news media give those few a platform to be heard from, that gives a false appearance that they are “many”.

Can anyone honestly look at our society and say that we don’t need “more” Ten Commandments posted to prick people’s conscience?
