G-Editorial™: Challenge to Candidates for Gilmer County Magistrate - 2012 - Result

image

Chapter 50, Article 1, Section 4 of the West Virginia Code of Law specifies that, “each magistrate ... shall have a high school education or its equivalent.“

Questions have arisen as to whether all candidates that have filed for this office in Gilmer County meet the educational requirements provided by statute.

Therefore, in an effort to put the matter to rest and provide the voting public with documentation that all candidates for this position are indeed qualified to hold the post, we asked all candidates for Magistrate to submit to us proof that they meet the educational requirements of this position.

Following is the Result (in order received):

Mickey Metz – Did Not Provide Proof

Again, we like to thank the candidates who provided their proof of eligibility for the office of Magistrate.

The Gilmer Free Press

THANK YOU GILMER FREE PRESS:
“I” as a longtime resident, taxpayer and voter of this county would like to thank our internet news provider, Mr. Dave Ramezan, with the article he published asking for the candidates to furnish him with their information on GED, High School diplomas, College degrees and other qualifications and I also want to thank the candidates for submitting this to Gilmer Free Press so that the voters can make a decision based on the results of this request.

“This says a lot” for the candidates that supplied the requested information and I thank them for it. “It also says a lot” for the one “individual” who will not provide information requested. Gilmer County this should tell us all something that we need to remember when the Primary election is held.

Again thanks to GFP for we know the local newspaper would not have made a request of this information and NOW WE KNOW.!!

Mickey METZ feels he is above the law and he has been living this way a long time, and if we knew the real truth about Mickey Metz Sheriff of Gilmer County it would shock the entire State of WV.

Metz has become a YES man for the elite and has covered for their crimes and that is his primary function.

When METZ refused the criminal complaint involving the beating of Don Singleton it only stood as a reminder how he also refused to take a legitimate complaint against Beverly Marks for removing a piece of evidence from a court case during the trail which is a CRIME.

When the complaint was made, METZ refused to take the complaint and then went to the local detachment of the State Police to try to have the person making the complaint arrested.

THIS ALL BLEW UP BIG IN THEIR FACES AND THEY WERE ALL DISGRACED IN FRONT OF OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT—AND THE FBI HAD TO STEP IN AND PUT AN END TO IT ALL.

The matter is currently being investigated by the WVSC and HOUGH is just as guilty!

Are you saying that the elite of GC need to have >their< person as magistrate?  Like so the rapists don’t have to make the trip to Flatwoods?  And then have the rape charge reduced to just trespassing?  What a crock for the chief law enforcement person to do to a resident of GC!  She gets raped and then banged by the law!  How do we get word of this out, so innocent girls don’t sign into Glenville State College?  These young women are deserving of their day in court.

I am happy to see that those legitimately running for magistrate were forthcoming in providing their educational qualifications and experience.  What doesn’t surprise me is that Mickey Metz has not. If you have nothing to hide provide the proper documentation Sheriff!  For myself, it says a lot when someone is not willing to disclose educational or other pertinent documents when running for an elected office. It brings reasonable doubt that the document even exists.  Do the citizens of Gilmer County a favor Sheriff, withdrawal from the race and let a more qualified, professional, moral, impartial, unbiased, educated candidate hold the seat. One who has the intestinal fortitude to serve the citizens without biased and special favors.
