Anna Mae Murphy
Age 72, of Birch River, WV went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 14, 2012.
She was born on May 18, 1940 in Strange Creek, WV to the late Carmel Marvin and Mable Lloyd Johnson.
Also preceding her in death was her brother, Glen Johnson.
Anna Mae was a homemaker, member of the Birch River Baptist Church and the Choir.
She also was a volunteer for Birch River Fire Department EMT program for 15 years and a volunteer for Birch River Head Start and Grade School.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Murphy, Jr., sons, Mike Murphy and wife Debbie of Clarksburg, MD, Mark Murphy and wife Theresa of Little Birch, WV, brothers, Bill Johnson of Herold, WV, John Johnson and wife Margaret of Charleston, WV, sister, Mary Jo Browning and husband Fred of Birch River, WV, grandchildren, Cody Murphy, Matt Murphy, Amanda Murphy, Luke Murphy, step grandchildren, Kelly Martin, Patrick Wetzel, Katie Hill, Adriana Houghton, great -granddaughter, Penny Murphy, special family member, Kathy Browning.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday July 19, 2012 at Greene-Robertson Funeral Home, Sutton with the Rev. James Murphy officiating.
Burial will follow at Keener-Wood Cemetery, Birch River, WV.
Friends may call Wednesday July 18, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at funeral home.
