WV Child Care Aide Program Hiking Co-Payments

Low-income West Virginia parents are bracing for higher child care costs.
A state program that helps these parents afford day care is hiking its co-payments starting Wednesday.
Parents now pay between nothing and 5% of care costs.
The co-payment will rise for all parents to 12% of costs.
Program officials note that West Virginia’s co-payments remain much lower than that of its neighboring states.
