Verlon Guy “Pap” Cooper
Age 88, of Weston, WV died July 10, 2012 at 9:45 PM at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg.
He was born August 05, 1923 in Weston: son of the late Oliver James Cooper and Hettie Mae Linger Cooper.
On September 05, 1959 he was married to his loving wife, Glenda Sue Burkhammer Cooper, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Todd Cooper and wife, Star, of Weston; one brother, Allan Cooper and wife, Darlene, of Jane Lew; one grandson, Brandon Cooper of Weston.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Mr. Cooper was employed by West Virginia Glass Company, as a glass cutter for several years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he served proudly.
At his request, he was cremated and there was no visitation.
A graveside memorial service with full military honors will be announced at a later date.

Congratulations to Hunter Ashley for getting a 2nd place in the Discus throw. He may be a Freshman, but he can definately out throw a lot of sophmores, Juniors and seniors. Way to go Hunter. Practice always pays off. Proud of you.
