A three-year-old boy was shot in both feet as he and his five-year-old brother struggled over a .357 Magnum revolver they found inside a home in Blacksville.

WV State Police Senior Trooper T.W. Morris said the injured boy was treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital on Saturday night after a bullet grazed his left foot and pierced his right foot.

A man who had been working on the house said he had stashed the revolver under a bed set up in the living room because he had been receiving threats.

When the younger boy found the gun, his brother chased him outside to try to take it away from him. Morris said the gun fired when the older boy got a grip on it.

The brothers were being watched by a great-grandfather, who had fallen asleep.
