Normantown Christian students presenting their $1,100.00 donation to the Ronald McDonald House

The Free Press WV

On Friday, December 15, the students of Normantown Christian were privileged to a tour of the Ronald McDonald House in Charleston.

The tour was given by Evan Osborn, Development Director at RMHC of Southern West Virginia, and came as a result of a donation raised by the students’ art program.

Thanks to our caring community, the students were able to collect a $1,100.00 donation by selling their artwork recently in Glenville.

The visit really allowed the children to see and hear, more vividly, what the Ronald McDonald House provides for families with children in the hospital.

They came away with an even greater appreciation for the charity.

Following the presentation of the check, the students continued their day out in Charleston with a trip to the fascinating State Museum in the Culture Center, which has been updated in recent years, and provided a great experience for the kids.

They wrapped up their trip with a tour of the Capitol.
