Gilmer County Native Lance Woodford for County Commissioner

Gilmer County Citizens, my name is Lance Woodford, age 36, the son of Paul and Myra Woodford of Glenville, and I am seeking election to the Gilmer County Commission.  My entire life I’ve been a citizen of Gilmer County. I received my bachelor’s and master’s degrees from WVU in Agriculture Business and Rural Development. I reside in Coxs Mills with my wife, Vada (Zinn) Woodford, and my two daughters, Bristol and Ella. We are members of the Sand Fork Baptist Church. My wife and I work in Gilmer County. She was formerly the Gilmer County Extension Agent but now is a public school teacher. I have been the manager of the Sue Morris Sports Complex for seven years and a small business owner for ten years.

It is a blessing to grow up and raise a family in Gilmer County. We have neighbors, communities, local organizations, churches, and businesses always willing to lend a helping hand and promote the county. In today’s world those attributes are priceless.  I serve or have served as a board member for Gilmer County Farm Bureau, Recreation Center, Glenville Golf Club, and GSC Athletics Hiring Committee. In addition, I’ve been an assistant Gilmer 4 H Camp Class Instructor.  Numerous organizations require leaders, public servants and volunteers to make Gilmer County a special place to live.

If elected, I will serve the citizens in a respectful and honest manner regardless of political party.  I am not running to be a politician but to be a public servant who makes decisions based on facts not politics!  If I don’t see you while I’m campaigning, don’t hesitate to call me at 304-462-8062 with any questions.  Please vote Lance Woodford for Gilmer County Commission in the November 6th general election.

Thanks and GOD BLESS
