Chloe Ellen Allen
Age 83, of Oak Hill, WV (formerly of Dusk Camp, Gilmer County WV ) departed this life on June 21, 2011.

She was a daughter of the late James Martin Lee (M.L. or Mart) Harris and Hallie Belle McCullough Harris.

Chloe attended the Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church when her health and the weather permitted.

She was a hard worker all of her life and loved to work in her garden in summer and quilt in the winter. No one was ever turned away from her door hungry or ragged.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Ocie Marie Harris Shipman; four brothers, Ovie Hoy Harris, Worthy Faye Harris, George Samuel (Buck) Harris and Alva Leo Harris. Also preceding her in death is one niece, Tammy Wine and one nephew Terry Wine.

Chloe is survived by her devoted companion through life, Hubert Osborne of Oak Hill, WV; daughter, Dorothy Marie Bell (Dottie) Dennison Collins of Oak Hill; two sons, Reverend Paul Lee Allen of Craigsville, WV and Raymond Joseph (Pud or Pudden) Allen and his wife Shirley of Cleveland, OH; four grandchildren, Loretta Ann Collins of Oak Hill, Steven Dalane Collins of Hico, WV, Daniel Linn Collins of Beckley, WV, Joseph (Joey) Allen of Cleveland, OH and Donald (Bunk) Twohig of Charleston, WV. Also surviving are three great-grandchildren; Brandon Travis Collins, Corey Lee Collins of Oak Hill, and Elissa Dawn Collins of Hico, WV; one sister, Mable Ruth Harris Wine of Dusk Camp and one sister-in-law, Regenia (Jean) Harris of Jane Lew, WV. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, all of which held a special place in her heart.

She is also survived by her beloved pets that she loved beyond measure.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday June 23, 2011 at Stockert-Sizemore Funeral home in Flatwoods, WV with Rev. Bill Griffin and Rev. Delmas Singleton officiating.

Burial will be in Little Kanawha Memorial Gardens in Heaters, WV.

Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
