Larry Edward “Greaser” Lane

Age 61, of Walkersville, WV died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at his home.

He was born on June 25, 1951 in Lewis County: son of the late James Edward Lane and Betty June Wilson Lane, who survives.

He is survived by his wife, Madeline Westfall Lane; three daughters, Serina Pritt Bennett of French Creek, Tina Lane of Buckhannon, and Peggy Lane Hovis; six sons, Matthew Lane, Lyle Lane, Buddy Lane, Edward Lane and Luke Lane all of Walkersville, Billy Lane of Vadis; five sisters:  Linda Snyder of Cowen, Shirley Cogar of Gaines, Diana Bender of Rock Cave, Delores Littlejohn of Summersville, and Brenda Johnson of Summersville; one brother: Rick Lane; 18 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, James Matthew Lane, and one granddaughter.

He was the owner and operator of Lane Truckin.

The family received friends Saturday, July 14, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel.

The funeral was held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 1:00 PM, at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Don Elmer officiating.

Interment followed at the Chestnut Flat Cemetery.

The Lane family has entrusted the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel with the arrangements.
