Kenneth Jackson Foglesong

Age 72 of Horner, WV formerly of Glenville, WV departed this life in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 07, 2017 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV following a courageous 2 year battle with cancer.

Born February 15, 1945 in Spencer, WV Kenny is the son of the late Roy and Opal Starcher Foglesong.

Kenny was a graduate of Glenville High School, class of 1963, graduate of Glenville State College, class of 1967 with degree in education, and he received a Masters Degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University in 1974. He taught at St. Mary’s High School from 1967-1971, Parkersburg Community College from 1974-1975, and held an administrative position in Calhoun and Gilmer County in 1975-1976. He was a long time member of the Glenville Rotary and earned the Paul Harris Fellow recognition in the 1980’s.

In 1976, Kenny took a job that wasn’t a job when he became an Agent for Nationwide Insurance, “can’t be work if you love it”. In August of 1983, he started what would become the love of his life Hays City Auto Sales and stayed active there until his cancer diagnosis in July 2015.

“Never went to work but who would always go to enjoy the day”.

He was married to Terri Snyder in September of 1967.

Kenny married Linda Moore on September 21, 2001 and stayed with her for the rest of his life.

Kenny is also survived by step daughter Rhonda Moore and husband Jeff Everett of Bruceton Mills, WV and step son, Richard Douglas Moore and fiancée Jacqueline Stump and sons L.J and Logan of Rock Cave, WV.

Per Kenny’s request, he will be laid to rest privately with his parents at the Hebron Cemetery in Speed, WV.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Kenneth Jackson Foglesong.
