The Braxton County Development Authority is receiving a federal grant of $150,000.

The federal money was approved by a Rural Business Enterprise Grant.

According to a news release from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development, the department serves as the lead federal entity for rural development needs and administers program assistance through its housing, business/cooperative, community and infrastructure programs.

Officials said the funds will be used to help in renovating space in an existing building to retain a current tenant, Triune Group.

The grant is expected to save seven existing jobs, according to the news release.
