Evans-Williams

The families of Hannah Danielle Evans and Nicholas Tyler Williams announce the couple’s engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Brian Evans of Elkins, WV and the late Christina Evans. She is a 2008 graduate of Tucker County High School, and she will graduate from Fairmont State University in 2013 with a degree in secondary education with a specialization in social studies. She is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and received her Masters of Physician Assistant in May 2011 from Alderson-Broaddus College.

Her fiance is the grandson of the late Gary and Anna Eloyse Conley, and the late William and Anna Montgomery. He is a graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and will receive his master’s degree in health care administration in May from Marshall University, where he is currently employed.

The wedding will take place on May 26, 2012 at St. Johns United Methodist Church in Scott Depot.

Langford-Arnedo

Valerie Ann Langford and Enrique Javier Arnedo Rojas were united in marriage in an afternoon ceremony on October 16, 2010, at St. Alphonsus Church in Ocean Springs, Miss. The Rev. Henry McInerney officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack H. Langford of Pullman, WV. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Enrique Javier Arnedo Ibanez of Madrid, Spain.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an ivory trumpet gown with an empire waist and cap sleeves adorned with pearls and crystals with champagne under laying and a chapel train. Her hairpiece was matching pearls and ivory feather, and her wedding necklace and rings were gifts from both families. She carried a bouquet of hydrangeas, calli lilies, roses and assorted greenery in keeping with the fall season.

The bride’s sister, Gloria Marie Bava of Petersburg, WV, was the maid of honor. Friend of the bride, Elizabeth A. Quave of Ocean Springs, Miss., served as a bridesmaid. The attendants wore formal gowns in shades of guava and carried flowers in shades of assorted fall flowers.

The best man was Rafael E. Arnedo Rojas and the groomsman was Benjamin Arnedo Rojas of Madrid, Spain, both brothers of the groom. Serena Marie Bava, niece of the bride, was the flower girl.

She wore a gown in guava and carried a wicker basket of flowers in autumn shades. Nour Zayed, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer. Hussain Al-Shibib, a friend of the couple, served as usher.

Participating as readers in the ceremony were sister of the groom, Marina Zayed Arnedo, of Ocean Springs; Carlos Jesus Arnedo, uncle of the groom, of Madrid; and aunt of the bride, June Langford Berkley of Worthington, Ohio. Music for the ceremony was provided by Richard Sawyer, friend of the bride and groom.

Following the ceremony, the couple greeted guests during a patio reception at Gulf Hills Hotel and later hosted wedding guests at a dinner in the banquet room of the hotel.

The bride is a graduate of Ritchie County High School. She attended West Virginia Community College and is certified and has a degree in nuclear medical technology. She is advancing her degree in this field at Ferris State University and is employed as a nuclear medicine technologist at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Miss.

The groom was educated in Formento de Centros de Esenanza, Colegio El Pardo in Madrid, earning his undergraduate degree in magisterio educacion infantil and his graduate degree in magisterio educacion primaria in Spain. He worked in Ireland prior to earnhing his bachelor’s degree as an air transport pilot in Spain, completing his education in Atlanta, GA.

The couple is planning a honeymoon in Europe this coming summer in conjunction with another wedding reception in Madrid with friends and family from Europe.

Dreibelbis - Cook

Kelly Dreibelbis and Joshua Cook were married December 06, 2010, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, at the Majestic Elegance Resort.

The bride is the daughter of Donald and Debbie Acor Sr. of Mount Pleasant Mills, PA, and Marlin Dreibelbis of Pillow, PA. She is a 1997 graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental geoscience in 2001 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and a master’s in geographic information systems in 2005 from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a geologist for Range Resources.

The groom is the son of John and Robin Cook of Harrisville, WV. He is a 2000 graduate of Ritchie County High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in 2003 and master’s degree in 2004 from West Virginia University in petroleum engineering. He is a production engineer for PDC Energy in Bridgeport.

The matron of honor was Lindsay Sumpter of Pittsburgh, friend of the bride. The best man was Daniel Cook, brother of the groom. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her parents. She wore a white chiffon strapless dress with diamond applique and carried a bouquet of white callalilies.

An open house reception is being held in their honor at the home of the groom’s sister, Angela and Dustin Huffman of Harrisville, from 2:00-4:00 PM April 23, 2011.

Malson-Hubbard

Heather Dawn Malson and Jeffrey Lewis Hubbard were united in marriage on October 23, 2010.

The ceremony was held at the University of Charleston in Charleston, WV, and was presided over by Pastor Ronnie Blevins, cousin of the bride.

The bridal party consisted of man of honor and friend of the bride, Justin Battle, and bridesmaids Leigh Anne Malson, sister of the bride, Kelly Adams and Blair Lostetter, friends of the bride. The flower girl was Jolie Bevins, cousin of the groom. The best man was Tim Sirk, friend of the groom, and groomsman was Jerry Hubbard, father of the groom. Ring bearer was Lukas Vance, cousin of the groom. Ushers were Jeff Nutter and Logan Vance. The wedding colors were lapis, orange and magenta.

The bride is the daughter of Sharon Malson of Cairo and Steve and Sue Malson of Belpre. She is the granddaughter of the late H.G. “Ted” and Lucy Giboney, and Tom and Mabel Malson. She is a 2002 graduate of Ritchie County High School, a 2006 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College and a 2009 graduate of Marietta College. She is employed as a physician assistant in Charleston.

The bridegroom is the son of Francine and Jerry Hubbard of Maysel. He is the grandson of Shorty and Irene Nutter and the late Ralph and Ruby Hubbard. He is a 1998 graduate of Clay County High School, and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia State University. He is employed as a technician at Frontier Communications and is a member of the Air National Guard 130th Airlift Wing.

The couple resides in Cross Lanes.

The bride is the daughter of Edward and Melissa Bleigh of Harrisville, and the late Jeffrey D. Sealover of Mechanicsburg, Pa. She is the granddaughter of Freda Jones and the late Selden Jones of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Gene and Beulah Geiger of Mechanicsburg. She is a 2008 graduate of Ritchie County High School and attended West Virginia Wesleyan College majoring in elementary education, and will be continuing her education courses in Alabama.

The groom is the son of Chuck and Tanya Barker of Harrisville. He is the grandson of Earl “Whitie” Adolfson and the late Jean Adolfson of Glenville and Dale and Virgie Barker of Smithville, WV. He is a 2003 graduate of Ritchie County High School and 2008 graduate of West Virginia University. He is a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army attending flight school at Fort Rucker, AL.

A reception was held at the Harrisville Woman’s Lions Club. Following the reception, the couple honeymooned at the Allegheny Springs Resort at Snowshoe Resort in West Virginia.

The couple reside in Daleville, AL.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 2005 graduate of Glenville State College. She is a teacher at Calhoun County High School.

The prospective groom is a 2002 graduate of Ritchie County High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University.

The two will wed in an outdoor ceremony in late July. A reception will follow for friends and family of the bride and groom.

Karen Zawatsky (Marks) and Daniel Frashure were united in marriage on March 16, 2009. The wedding took place at the Sandals Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

A private reception for the immediate family was held at the Blennerhassett Hotel on March 28, 2009.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Brenda Marks of Parkersburg. She is a 1992 graduate of Parkersburg High School and a 1996 graduate of West Virginia University at Parkersburg.

The groom is the son of Ronald and Nancy Frashure of Glenville. He is a 2001 graduate of Gilmer County High School and a 2005 graduate of Glenville State College.

Both the bride and groom are employed at The Bureau of Public Debt in Parkersburg.

Deem and Fuller

Nick Deem and Cheryl Graham Curry of Myrtle Beach, SC, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nicole Deem, to Ronald Lee Fuller of Myrtle Beach, SC.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Dottie and Wayne Gains, Lou Graham and the late Jerry Graham, the late Velma Deem, all of Parkersburg, and Tom Moore of Glenville, WV. She is a 2003 graduate of Cathedral Hall Academy in Myrtle Beach, SC.

The prospective groom is the son of Ronald Lee Fuller of Melbourne, Fla., and Mary Loretta Lee McCullough of Baltimore, Md. He is the grandson of the late Howard and Isabelle Cole of Baltimore, MD, and the late Phil and Alice Fuller of Baltimore, MD.

The couple plan to be married on May 29, 2009, on the beach at Garden City, SC.

Sarah R. Frashure and Joseph W. Miller

Ronald and Nancy Frashure of Glenville are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sarah Renee, to Joseph William Miller, son of Robert and Linda Miller of Bunker Hill and Wanda Lamp of Charles Town.

Frashure is a 1999 graduate of Gilmer County High School and a 2005 graduate of West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. She is currently employed as a pharmacist for Martin’s Food Market in Martinsburg.

Miller is a 1997 graduate of Musselman High School and is currently employed as a member of the Flying Force for Aristocrat Technologies in Las Vegas.

The couple is planning an April 2009 wedding in St. Lucia.

After the wedding, the couple will reside in Inwood.

The prospective groom is a 2001 graduate of Gilmer County High School and a 2005 graduate of Glenville State College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration of management and an associate’s degree in accounting. He is employed by the Bureau of Public Debt as an accounting technician.

The wedding is set for March 16, 2009, at the Sandals Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. A private reception for the family will be March 28, 2009, at the Blennerhassett Hotel in Parkersburg.
