Enora C. Rohr - Happy 90th Birthday
Enora C. Rohr of Buckhannon will celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 2 PM to 4 PM Sunday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 88 S. Kanawha St. in Buckhannon. The event is being hosted by her family.
Mrs. Rohr was born Feb. 15, 1920, at Gem in Braxton County, a daughter of the late Early Forest and Willia Jane (Lipps) Waldeck. She is the fifth of nine children.
On October 7, 1940, she married Glenn Rohr.
Mrs. Rohr is the mother of two sons, Rodney Rohr and wife, Frani, of Buckhannon and the late Rondsel Rohr. In addition, she has five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

A Milestone Celebration for Sutton Dam
It was Fifty years ago, today, the Sutton Dam project in Braxton County was officially completed.
Flood control was the purpose of Sutton Dam when construction started in 1949.
It was completed in 1959.
Today, it has become more than just flood control. The Sutton Lake and Dam is a warm weather destination in the area.
Sutton Dam was officially dedicated in 1961.
An anniversary celebration is being planned for the Summer of 2011 to go along with the 50th anniversary of the official dedication.
