Icie Marie Riffle

Age 55, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 in the comfort of her home.

She was born in Weston, WV on April 28, 1963 a daughter of the late Harold William and Vernie Mae Ables Riffle.

Icie is survived by one son, Keith Jamale Branch and wife, Erin, of Chicago, IL; two sisters: Patty Reed and husband, Ronald, of Lost Creek, WV; and Connie Riffle of Jane Lew, WV; one best friend and loyal companion, Spitfire; five nieces and nephews: Andy and Tyler Reed both of Lost Creek, Jonathan Scott Riffle, Kristol Riffle, and Jessica Cayton and husband, Steven, all of Weston; and six great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, one brother, William “Rick” Riffle, preceded Icie in death.

Icie’s strong and independent personality led her to join the United States Air Force at the tender age of 19. She spent 10 years in the service of her country and for that we are grateful. She spent the rest of her working years as a Home-care Provider with the Upshur County Senior Center as well as a cook for the Ole Mill restaurant. All the while, she was raising her son.

Icie enjoyed the comfort of a good book, but more often than not, her hands were busy at something. She created wonderful things with her knitting needles and crochet hooks. Her love of baking could be tasted in everything she made. Everyone she baked for agreed that she made the best bread.

In following Icie’s wishes, there will be a private family funeral service before her cremation.

We, at Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service, appreciate the military service of Icie Marie Riffle and it is our honor and privilege to serve her and her family.
