Carl D. Clark

Age 83, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away January 10, 2018 at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born March 21, 1934 on Ingram Ridge, in Ritchie County WV, the son of the late George W. and Tressa J. Clark.

Carl graduated from Cairo High School in 1952. He served in the United States Army and had worked at DuPont Washington Works and the Pennzoil Oil Co. where he retired after 20 years of service.

He was also the owner and founder of the Dutch Ridge Auction House which he and his wife, Roberta started in 1984 and operated for many years, a place where they had made many friends and had a lot of fun times.

Carl is survived by two sons, Ronald J. Clark (Anne) of Waverly, WV and Richard L. Clark of Parkersburg, WV; one daughter, Robin St. Andry (Tim) of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Trevor Clark, Victoria Clark, Ryan McClung, Brandon McClung and Trinity McClung; one sister, Thelma Scott of Marietta, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by Roberta L. Clark; and one son, Randall B. Clark.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Green Street, Parkersburg with Pastor Don Yeager officiating.

Burial will follow at Red Hill UMC Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10 AM to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donating to the Humane Society of Parkersburg.

Carl’s favorite little friend was “Jack the Jack Russell”.

We would like to send a very special “Thank You” to Donna Adams and Lisa Moretti and all the Palliative care team and staff at Camden-Clark Hospital for all their wonderful care.
