Hubert J. Kemper

Passed away in his home peacefully on September 08, 2017.

Hubert was born to Roy and Velma Kemper in Grantsville, WV on November 13, 1928.

Hubert graduated from Calhoun County High School in 1948 and went on to join the U.S. Navy. He served during the Korean War as crew on the carrier-based Avenger Bombers. After returning home he was employed by Corning Glass Works where he retired as foreman.

He was a devout Christian all his life and attended the Murphytown Baptist Church. He enjoyed Gospel music and was a member of several gospel quartets. The last quartet he was a member of was the Crownsman Quartet in which his son, Paul, was also a member.

Hubert believed in Christian principles and his life reflected those principles. He worked long and hard to support his family. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday from 10:00 AM until service time.
