Some WV spots could see four inches of snow Friday morning

Large portions of southern and central West Virginia are under a Winter Weather Advisory beginning early Friday morning.

The National Weather Service in Charleston issued the advisory from midnight to 1 p.m. Friday for Wayne, Cabell, Mason, Jackson, Putnam, Kanawha, Roane, Calhoun, Clay-, Northwest Raleigh, Northwest Fayette, and Northwest Nicholas counties. Total snow accumulations are expected to be between one and three inches.

Two to four inches of snow are expected in Southeast Raleigh, Southeast Fayette, Southeast Nicholas, Southeast Webster, Northwest Pocahontas, Southeast Pocahontas, Southeast Randolph according to NWS Charleston. Those areas are under an advisory from midnight until 7 p.m. on Friday.

The snow is not expected to be around for long as temperatures will climb this weekend into the 50s on Saturday and 60s on Sunday.
